About the Role
Excellent opportunity for a team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication and administrative support skills to work in a fast-paced, growing company in the music financial industry. In this role, you will provide database support to our Data Management team and assist our Sales team with general administrative tasks via phone and email.
Sound Royalties is a privately-owned specialty finance firm that helps music industry professionals fund personal and professional projects while allowing them to retain the rights to their music and receive overflow income. The company’s core business offers royalty advances of anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000,000, by advancing artist, producer, and songwriter royalties paid through music labels, distributors, publishers, PROs, and many more. To date, Sound Royalties has worked with a wide range of leading music industry professionals, including GRAMMY Award winners, platinum recording artists, and notable music industry executives in every genre.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for updating customer information and data entry in Salesforce, a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system
- Assist the Royalty Support team with real-time customer support, including, but not limited to answering phones, sending emails, triaging customer issues, facilitating between relevant departments, and escalating when necessary
- Manage dashboards and reports in Salesforce and push relevant metrics to the Sales Management team
- General support to the sales staff through the preparation of reports and materials
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills
- Time-management skills and adaptability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Data entry and management
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
Education and Experience
- Customer service experience
- 2-3 years of administrative experience is preferred, but not required
- Prior experience working with CRM is an asset, but not required

We are looking to hire an Inside Sales Representative for our organization. S/he will report to the Managing Director of Sales for Sound Royalties. This role is an excellent opportunity for talented, driven sales professionals with base salary, benefits & commissions. This role will be responsible for providing music creatives including artists, songwriters, producers, etc., with financing to fund their career and personal goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build relationships leading to funding transactions with music creatives and their professional teams.
- Contact new and existing customers to discuss financing needs.
- Emphasize the features of the company’s services to highlight the benefits to creatives.
- Collaborate with the entire Sound Royalties team to create financing solutions for creatives and ensure they have the best possible customer experience.
- Review and prepare pricing models and other required documents for creatives.
- Act in an advisory role to creatives regarding finance and royalty matters.
- Work with creatives to ensure all deliverables are received, reviewed, and addressed promptly.
- Maintain a real-time project/deal pipeline and systematically follow-up on new leads.
- Track all sales-related activities in the company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly.
Experience Required
- Passion for music.
- Prior experience working in sales with a focus on outbound calling and relationship-based sales is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Prior experience with music rights and clearances, music publishing, publishing administration, music supervision and/or music copyright production, or other relevant experience is a plus.
